Battery life is one of the areas Garmin really outshines Apple watch. Garmin's entry level watches have a 7 day battery life and their high end models can go up to one month before they needs recharging. I use a middle of the pack Garmin Fenix 6 which has a battery life of two weeks.

You will see this screen only during an activity. To test it, you can select an activity, say Run. You can press up and down buttons to see other data screens. If you wish to edit the data fields, layout, order etc, select Run and you will see one of the data screens. Press Up button to select Run Settings In the next screen, select Data Screens. Now you will see a pencil icon. Now you can use the Up and Down buttons to select the Data Screen you want to edit. Once in the Data Screen of your choice, press the red button to edit. Here you can modify Layout of the screen and the Data Fields. You can also reorder the Data Screens. Continue pressing the red button to select or the back button to cancel and go back to previous step. These steps are for Garmin 245 but other Garmin models should have a similar pattern.

Love this technique Bala! When I first heard this technique last season, it was difficult to put into practice. The reason being, until then I used to run non-stop the entire long run whether it was 3 miles or 6 miles. By banking the runs, I felt the momentum was slowed and then I have to work hard again to get back into my running mode. It took a little of practice to get the hang of it. Now instead of banking every three miles like I tried before, I am banking every mile. This gives me better control I feel. The last two NYC races, I used the banking run strategy and it was immensely helpful.
