Sridhar KV

"A Run Begins The Moment You Forget You Are Running."
Sridhar is an RRCA-certified coach based in Edison, New Jersey. He joined RHWB in January 2020, along with his wife, daughter, and their dog Hazel, who are also part of the program. Sridhar has completed numerous half marathons and finished the Chicago Full Marathon in 2022.
A passionate traveler, Sridhar enjoys combining his love of running with destination runs. Recently, he visited Denmark, running nearly 60 miles across four cities. For Sridhar, running provides endless opportunities to discover hidden gems in new places. During these runs, he enjoys stopping for a quick bite at a café, capturing photos in bustling squares, and running along cobblestone streets and quaint alleys. His destination runs also took him to Yercaud, a hill-station town in India, where the beauty of the landscape made running a joy without the need to track miles or time. These experiences have made his travels more immersive. Sridhar also enjoys hill runs and high-altitude aerobic training, which he finds beneficial for improving form and building cardiovascular endurance.
Sridhar credits the RHWB program for transforming him both physically and mentally. For the first time in his life, he was able to lose weight healthily and sustainably, without resorting to extreme diets. Running has also enhanced his tennis game, making him quicker on the court and more mentally resilient during long matches, knowing he can outlast his opponents.
Sridhar is an avid listener of audiobooks and podcasts, often listening while running. Over the past two years, he has accumulated over 200 hours of non-fiction content.
Although Sridhar began his RHWB journey as a hesitant runner, he is now fully committed to the sport. Running has provided him with lasting physical and mental benefits, thoughtful perspectives, and lifelong friendships. He believes that running continues to transform him each day, and his long-term goal is to run injury-free for life.
Sridhar’s coaching philosophy emphasizes understanding each runner's unique needs and using a science-based approach to improvement. He places significant focus on nutrition, strength training, personal safety, and injury prevention.
