Soujanya’s motto in life is to keep learning, exploring, and improving. She believes that "there's always room for improvement in whatever we do." As a gesture of kindness, she regularly donates her hair to cancer patients through various charities.

Soujanya lives in Edison with her husband, Dr. Shailender, and their two lovely children, Dhanashri and Tattva Kartikeya. It's a family of runners and hikers—both Dhanashri and Soujanya have participated in every season of RHWB.

Professionally, Soujanya works as an Office Manager at Sri Medical Center. In addition, she collaborates with Optum, a healthcare management company, focusing on quality control analysis of the patient population she serves.

In her Abbott World Majors journey, Soujanya completed the New York City Full Marathon in 2023 and achieved a personal record (PR) at the Tokyo Full Marathon in 2024. She ran the Tokyo marathon after completing several half marathons and the Jersey City Full Marathon in 2023.

Beyond running, Soujanya enjoys hiking, cooking, gardening, and interior decoration. She is actively involved in various volunteer activities and strongly believes in helping others in the community.

Soujanya has completed numerous hikes, primarily around New Jersey and New York, with notable achievements including Mt. Shasta in California, Mt. Monadnock in New Hampshire, and the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal.
