About Dr. Sumanth

Background

Dr. Sumanth TP is a Bangalore-based psychiatrist with a strong foundation in both academic and clinical practice. He serves as a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Rajarajeshwari Medical College & Hospital and also practices as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Vijayanagar Health Center. With formal training from Mysore Medical College (MBBS) and MVJ Medical College (MD Psychiatry), he has spent several years helping individuals navigate a wide range of mental health challenges.

Family Life

Dr. Sumanth lives with his wife, Dr. Bhagyalaxmi, an Ayurvedic doctor specializing in Panchakarma, and their two children. His personal life reflects the same balance he encourages in his patients—valuing time with family, staying curious through reading and puzzles, and finding joy in activities like trekking and movies.
